Northern Territory evacuees records

From 19 February 1942 until November 1943 the Japanese bombed Darwin 64 times.  As a result of this approximately half Darwin's civilian population and others from the north of the Northern Territory were evacuated to other parts of Australia.  The National Archives holds a number of files relating to Northern Territory evacuees.  The main list can be viewed online:
